In each series by Judith Matheson and Ian Mitchell there is a limited edition of 1,000 volumes. Each volume is 1,000 pages in length. The volumes are not reproductions; they are one-of-a-kind works. August Highland's publishing model is an advanced upgrade of the traditional mass-production system. Highland generates one-of-a-kind volumes of literary works using a publishing paradigm called "Massive Production". Using Massive Production, Highland sells to each reader an original literary work, thus enabling the reader to own an intrinsically valuable objet d'art in the same way that an art collector owns the original artwork by an artist. Highland's one-of-a-kind literary objects and publishing model sets the value of a literary work on an equal scale with the value of a sculpture or painting.
